World Disability Day Showcase at Somaiya College

On Wednesday, 3rd December, World Disability Day, we were invited by the Department of Psychology, Somaiya College (Vidyavihar) to present our brand MacEazy and our product E-Kaathi at their awareness event. The department had organized several experiential activities, including tasks where students were asked to complete simple actions without using their hands, or understand instructions without listening exercises meant to help people feel, even briefly, what differently-abled individuals experience daily. Amid these activities, we set up our stall and showcased the purpose, features, and real-world impact of E-Kaathi. Many students and faculty members visited us, asked questions, and appreciated the vision behind our work. Two visually impaired individuals were also present at the event. We personally explained E-Kaathi to them, demonstrated how it works, and discussed how it could support their daily mobility. Their positive reactions and genuine happiness reinforced why we are building this product to create something that actually makes life easier and safer for the visually impaired community. The event wasn’t just a presentation it was a reminder of the responsibility and opportunity we carry as innovators working in the accessibility space.
